You asked for it, we made it. Ghostery for Android is here on Firefox ! It’s not 100% yet, and we need your feedback, but it’s stable and it looks really cool. For now, it’s a limited release – if you’ve downloaded Ghostery 5, let us know what you think! What we did was take the (excellent) new software development kit (SDK) and rework Ghostery for it. This means more performance on your desktop version of Firefox and general compatibility for Firefox on Android devices. Come say hi on our support forums, and please spread the word! Download it here! Current version has most desktop features except for the alert bubble. More features coming soon!

UPDATE: We’ve released Ghostery 5 in another batch to more users. Let us know what you think!

    Why just for firefox?
Ok, you can’t do anything about Chrome, I get it. But at the very least ,an adaptaton for the normal Droid browser. Not everybody with Android device is found of the crappy Firefox, you know?

      Thanks for using Ghostery Brass,

Understood. We are looking into additional mobile options.

I agree – new to Smartphones but learning fast. Long time user of desktop Firefox but reviews of Android Firefox suggest it is not worth downloading as FF team obviously haven’t got it right yet. Just discovered Ghostery and shocked to see the amount of tracking taking place behind the scenes so keen to install on my Android – so an adaptation for the made-for-Droid Droid browser would be appreciated.

    Hallo Leute,

Actually no matter if someone doesn’t understand then its up to other users
that they will assist, so here it takes place.
