Update: Giveaway is over! Thanks for everyone who gave your addresses, stickers are being mailed out shortly. Also, to those who inadvertently posted your addresses in the comments, I’m not publishing those but I’ll still send them if they’re posted before the deadline!

Ghosty’s got the travel bug! Over the next week, we’ll be mailing out Ghosty stickers to anyone that wants one. All we ask in exchange is that you take a picture of him doing something fun (visiting a monument, hanging out on the back of your laptop, cooking a meal, etc) and post it to our Facebook page, tweet it at us or email it to us directly.

The rules and stuff

– Sticker requests will only be accepted until Thursday of next week – 5/10/12 (sorry, its a lot of work to mail them!)

– We can’t post any pictures of Ghosty doing unsavory things. Please use good judgement!

– Please send or post the pictures with a description of where Ghosty is!

– Please be patient when waiting for us to send your stickers :)

How to get your stickers

Hi Can I have a Sticker Please?

  2. D on May 3, 2012 at 7:35 pm

Do we need to take picture of it or can we just get the stickers?

    • D on May 3, 2012 at 8:00 pm

Also does it matter what country you live in?

    • adam on May 23, 2012 at 3:43 am

Pictures specifically “preferred” but we never require anyone to opt into anything to hang with Ghosty.

Ghosty haunts this house night & day!

  4. Kirk Graff on May 3, 2012 at 9:44 pm

I would put Ghosty in the store window sitting in a boat as that is what we sell. But….It would be fun to put him on one of the ceiling fan blades so he is doing his ghosty thing, or maybe on an actual boat, that will raise some eyebrows. Awe heck, if you send me one, Let me buy a dozen so i can experiment!

        Dear Sir,

Is it too late to grab a bunch of stickers? I just found your website so I didn’t know about your required deadline. I sure hope so because my neighbors and I are getting ready to throw another BIG “Earthquake Preparedness” get together.

We’re culling all the 411 we can about being prepared but this time I also want to include “Computer/Internet” safety 411. Our little piece of neighborhood is largely composed of mostly older, “professional” retirees, young families, and widowed folk. I want them to start paying more attention to safety, when they’re using their computers. I’ve been naggin’ them for a while now but they just keep telling me it costs too much money.

I would like to, somehow, get the word out about your services. I don’t know enough, (beyond turning one on & off and even that has a tendency to go wrong-side up), about computers to be able to explain to them what it is that you do.

If you have any suggestions, they would absolutely be greatly appreciated by myself and the neighbors. We’ve got all kinds of food & drink. And, of course, mega-‘mounts of “EQ Preparedness” 411.

All we’re missing now is some 411 that could be shared with everyone, (including our much, MUCH older retirees),on how to protect themselves while they’re shopping online or even just looking around, for that matter. AND!!! I want them to be able to actually set it up, themselves, and get started, WITHOUT the need for a damn degree in “Computers!” (Nothing personal, you understand. )

    I’ve tried your installation link for IE9 (64bit) –
    and it simply doesn’t work.

I restarted IE post so-called installation and checked IE wasn’t still lurking in the process list.

The icon is not hiding in the more option in the toolbar – it simply isn’t there. I’ve looked in tools/manage add-ons and no sign of ghostery there either post so-called installation.

I’ve tried installing several times – again sign of it on IE9 64bit. It doe work for IE9 32 bit.

It is not working for IE9 64bit so let’s not continue pretending that it is.

    Hey Adam!

I just found out about Ghostery and am super stoked to have the add-on as well as to be getting a sticker! I am a longboarder and we have too much space to put stickers on between helmets and boards.. so I was wondering if you could possibly send me two stickers? If not, I am fully satisfied with just one : )

    • adam on May 23, 2012 at 3:37 am

I am a longboarder as well, and you just made my day, and you made the cut for stickers! Send me your address/name with the word “stickers” in the subject: Be sure to take pictures!

  18. Adam Snider on May 8, 2012 at 1:09 am

And I also need your email to send you my address..

I open two webpages simultaneously when I start IE9. This is because I want instant access to both pages. However, the blocking options are correct on the first tab, but unselected on the second, and I am forced to go into options and select web bugs to block them again. This may be a problem you want to address if you see it on your end.

send the sticker to: 2986 W. Evans Rd. SD, CA 92106

  20. Firefox Debuger on May 10, 2012 at 6:07 pm

I’m not requesting a Sticker, I’m a fan of your add-on for Firefox and like to report a reproducible problem causing Firefox to not function properly and can’t find anyone to pass this info to, so here it is, do as you please.

    Test Base:
Firefox 12 (same as with 10 & 11, did not test v before that)
Clean install and add the Ghostery v 2.7.2 (Ran the Wizard and select all on both cases but no reporting)
Go to the website (as one of the many I find this issue to show up)
start viewing the images by clicking on the next button “>” and eventually it will stop, in some case I just wait for a few seconds and it freeze the page, you can scroll and access the windows button on the top left, but any clicks on the page do not work, and if you have multiple tabs open, you can’t switch to them.

Tested on XP SP3, Vista SP2 and Windows 7 and 8…
Please fix it so I can have all my customers re-install it.

    Thanks for the great product

Oh man, sorry to have missed this- but if it’s at all possible, I’d love to have one of these stickers. Just learned of you guys on Thursday!

    • adam on May 23, 2012 at 3:24 am

      We’ll be doing it again!

  25. Internaut on May 21, 2012 at 6:24 pm

I see I missed the magic cut-off, but I would be willing to pay to have one or more shipped. I repair about 4 computers a week that have been infected and.or cluttered with spyware. I would be very happy to have a couple up in the receiving area, back of my 3 laptops.
In fact, I’m considering getting a good PNG, PSD, or TIFF copy of Ghosterly, enlarge it, and have it printed on a mouse pad. Is that OK? I would not sell the pad, just have it by me where people can see it.

    • adam on May 23, 2012 at 3:24 am

Aw man, we just finished packing them up. Send me an email and I’ll send you the image files you need: adam at ghostery dot com

    Thanks Adam!

  28. Jazziegal on May 23, 2012 at 4:25 am

WOW!!! What a great logo, love it. I can’t wait until they are available again. I will display it on my cane, as I do a walk- about. Well, people will surely ask “What is that?” and I will gladly spread the word. Now, is that not a super way to do just that, not to mention the autonomous advertising. lol

    Hello and Help Please,

I have just now installed ‘Ghostery’ and signed up as a tracker for ‘Ghost Rank.’ How please may I obtain the really terrific ‘Ghostery’ T-SHIRT?? I fear, however, that I might not have been able to meet your deadlines? Am I able to purchase the T-shirt?? Same colors for fabric background, for design, for lettering. My size would be Med or Lg. Sincere thanks, Maurice

From all I have read, this has just been the best of the Beginning of Ghostery, for me. I Thank you and look forward, for one, figuring out all this and I’d love a Sticker, if you have enough? Thanks,
