Hey Ghost people. We’ve been working hard all summer, updating all of the Ghosteries. This is your official heads-up that it’s going to start raining releases very soon. Like, tomorrow soon (Ghostery for Chrome’s having an update). Look for something on every platform we currently support: Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, IE AND iOS. We’ll post about the updates here on the Purple Box, as well as on Facebook and Twitter. Follow us to stay up to date!!
That’s bad news. The fewer releases the better. When something works, why fix it? You are only introducing unwanted complications like you did with the last prior new version. I had to go into advanced settings on all of my computers to fix it. A real PITA.
We’re hoping you didn’t have to do that this time around. We try to keep our releases to a minimum, but we are working on so much it’s hard to. Also, releasing extensions is not the same as releasing traditional software. We are often beholden to the Mozilla/Google/Apple lords to “OK” the updates.
I use IE9 and Ghostery (annoyingly) seems to stop tracking. I go into options and have to ‘select all’ on a regular basis. This has to be a bug. I hope your new release fixes this.
