Setup wizard keep popping up in Safari? Here’s why (and how to fix it):
You are probably automatically clearing local storage on your computer. This could be due to an addon or program such as Safari Cookies.
We’ll be updating Ghostery for Safari in the next release to take care of this, but in the meantime you can disable whichever program/extension is causing the glitch, set your options in the Wizard, save, and then reenable. This will save Ghostery’s settings and get rid of the wizard when you start your browser.
I got ninety-nine problems but my wizard ain’t one.
As always, if you have any questions/concerns suggestions – check out our support forums.

Yes it’s a problem that I have with Safari 5.1 on Lion. Don’t forget this in Ghostery 1.2 (!) and also the blockage of cookies and the display of preferences in the right click ! Sorry for my english and good luck for updates
I have the latest version of Lion & ghostery but am experiencing similar problems. Even when I update, manually, if the computer sleeps or I log off for whatever reason, only 576 of the over 900 trackers will come back blocked. Consistently it is the same number of blocked sites & no more. I have tried not using any private browsing & that doesn’t resolve the issue. I have tried putting ghostery & apple in the “do not block” section. That doesn’t work either. It starts out fine but somewhere along the line is losing every tracker after 576. Any suggestions?
Hi,
Thanks for using Ghostery. Can you try reinstalling Ghostery and then email me with the results? adam@ghostery.com
